NOMAC Antiheroes Project and presented the first workshop of the series The Wanderers Series a total of 6 to be held in the 2013-2014 season. As part of the series will also make a presentation on Work in Progress ( Work -in -Progress ) to be held during the month of January 2014. These activities summary Nomadis educational component , the new interdisciplinary project Antiheroes , to be released during the spring - summer 2014 . The workshop includes a series of exercises of various techniques , including those in Sign Dance Technique, contact improvisation (Contact Improvisation ) movements and techniques designed to increase body awareness . The workshop will be divided into four parts , the first by members Sign Dance Collective , a company in the UK.
The second part of the workshop will be led by team Antiheroes . The series of exercises performed to the accompaniment of musicians Carlos Ochoa and Matthew Evan Taylor. The third event will be the presentation of the performance " Here ," a piece performed by twenty minutes actors Sign Dance Collective , and the culmination of the event will be a question- and-answer ( Q & A session) fifteen minutes.

This workshop will focus on developing the confidence of participants . They also work on the development and connection with the natural structure of our body, weight distrubution , their relationship with space and with other participants. Other areas to be covered will be developing skills in working solo and group exercises to develop balance and risk taking . Age range : 13-18

The goal of this workshop is to awaken in participating children tolerance and sensitivity toward other children . Celebrate diversity. Find creative ways to resolve issues or tasks in daily life or in your relationship with others forms.
The content of this workshop will be revealed through the exploration of different sensations , the use of the imagination , the senses and the expressive power of our body. Age range: 8-12.

MAHAGONNY is a work of contemporary theater based on the libretto by Bertolt Brecht opera Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny , written by Brecht in 1930. The piece has been adapted for the hearing of Miami and during testing has become a laboratory for actors and dancers. Elements of physical theater and dance come together to shape Mahagonny , a city founded for pleasure. Motion, projections , music anyone speak of a contemporary city , the economic crisis , the dreams of generations and difficulties to succeed. More than 80 years after its release , this piece could not be more subversive . Dominguez led commissioning ignores the original music composed for the opera by Kurt Weill. In Spanish with English supertitles . ASL interpreters will be available for two of the five programmed functions.
